So now go to "Config, Emulation Settings, Speedhacks," Select the "preset" checkbox and slider at the bottom to 3 or 4 (test 3, then test 4 if it's not enough) and make sure you select the "MTVU (Multi-Threaded MicroVU1) Checkbox. PCSX2 is 90% CPU, so if you have a decent one most of the rest falls into place. Game is tough to run, but you've got a strong enough CPU to pull it off I'd think. You can carry your Memory Cards over to the new 1.5.0 version, but your Savestates (If you use) do NOT carry over. Second, In hardware mode, Select "Config, Video(GS), Plugin Settings, Internal Resolution 3x" Upscaling the resolution makes some games look beautiful. Changing the renderer from software to hardware fixed the first couple seconds, until it's in the first person view. Loaded in well, however, as soon as anything 'graphics' pop up, it dips from 100% to as low as 45% speed.
Now I'm off to the more 'mature' childhood games, starting with Call of Duty: Finest Hour. So far I've played some childhood games: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Madagascar, and Family Feud all working well with no issues (besides Madagascar, had to change renderer and that fixed it.) I just found out about PCSX2 after seeing a YouTube comment and blown away that you're able to play your PS2 DISKS (not ROMs,) on your PC.
EDIT FOR FUTURE READERS: Upscaling the resolution to 3x and turning speedhacks onto preset 3 with MTVU enabled may fix the issue with Call of Duty: Finest Hour stuttering.
